Newly Founded Joint IEEE PELS/PES Chapter at UConn Organizes Kickoff Reception

A new IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) and Energy (PES) joint student branch chapter has been established at the University of Connecticut (UConn) as a part Region 1 within section. On 21 October 2022, hosted kickoff reception networking event for invited students, faculty industry ( Figure 1 ). The founding chair, Arshiah Mirza, delivered welcome note, shared plans introduced executive board. It was followed by an informative, talk Dr. Xinsheng Lou from GE Steam on “Dynamic Simulation Boiler Fault Detection Diagnosis Using AI. ” floor then open reception. Over 35 professionals attended over great food fall weather UConn main campus.
